Soccer story

Kaden and Luke started soccer yesterday through our church's Upward program. They are on different teams but THANKFULLY their practices are on the same night. Doug, the head of the Rec Department did that for me to make my life easier! THANK YOU DOUG! Luke's coach is Manny, he is so wonderful! My kiddos were all excited that his name was Manny because they love Handy Manny on the Disney channel. Coach Manny seems to be just as handy. He rescued us last night! More on that later...

Kaden's coach is Duncan. He is great as well. He seems laid back and very friendly! When Kaden introduced himself it was with a hug, for those of you that don't know my boys--they're huggers, especially my Kaden-man! Duncan hugged right back and said "nice to meet you bud." This was K's first time playing soccer and I think he did a great job! He listened and followed instructions and was so proud of himself for doing things the way his coaches asked. I did get a video of him, for his first time I think he did awesome!

Here are some pics of Josie and Gabes. They were pretty good while we were there. Gabriel said that Kaden's team was Gabriel's team too. Uh oh. He didn't like it when I told him that he had to wait to play soccer. But sweet Duncan gave Gabriel a ball to kick around. It was super cute! He liked scoring goals.

Practice for both boys runs from 6 to 7. About 6:50 it started spitting on us. By the time practice was over it was sprinkling. We went and loaded up in the van and the van would not start. When I tried to turn it on it Rrrr, Rrrr, Rrrred but wouldn't catch. Manny heard my van and went and got some jumper cables from a Sunday school friend who happened to be at church. By this time it was officially raining. We jumped the van and got all things situated. Knowing that Michael is gone, Manny told me to put him in my cell phone and to call him whenever I needed anything! And I could tell he meant it. Nice man, I tell ya! So the kiddos and I headed over to AutoZone, I knew they checked batteries but didn't know if they would help me put it in. Turns out they do. We drove over there in a downpour but it wasn't really raining there. Sure enough the battery was dead--which is of course what I was hoping for, I didn't want there to be anything else wrong with the van. We bought our last battery from AutoZone 4 years ago in Florida and since I remembered our FL telephone number we got the warranty back on the dead battery so I only paid $40 for my new one. They didn't charge to check the battery or put the new one in. So I was one happy camper that it all went smoothly! We didn't make it home until 9pm! The kiddos went straight to bed and I cleaned up a bit to settle in to watch the Raider game. Well, let's NOT talk about that part of my night. Have a wonderful day everyone!!! :)

Our Labor Day fun

The only other pics I got from our trip to St. Louis were at our Labor Day family BBQ. Uncle Don and Aunt Deb hosted all of us. We had a great time being all together. The food was delicious! The company was AWESOME! The Cardinal game left something to be desired... It was a beautiful day and the kids spent most of it outside. Mom and Rob (cousin) took the kiddos down to a park and they had a blast. My boys slept really good that night!
Sweet babies together. Riley is 2 months younger then Josie but about 5 inches taller! The Fitz girls had a fun time playing with Josie's curly top.
And I know it's blurry but here is half the group watching our Cards (when we were winning the game!)Jack was giving rides to Kaden and Gabriel down the sidewalk. They LOVED it!
Here's Luke and Bailey playing baseball together. Happy cousins. Well their parents are cousins, what are they? Second cousins? Or am I the girls' second cousin? Anyone know how that works? We just say cousins and that's how it is!2 of the Fitz girls stopping for a pic:Riley is giving Josie some loving. It was adorable!

Britt, I'll send these pics to you, don't worry! :) Everyone have a blessed day!

Celebrating my Tigers!

Hello all. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Have been laboring since Labor Day. The kids and I took a long weekend up to St. Louis to visit my family. Kaden and Luke had both Mon and Tues off of school so I took advantage and went home. I didn't get many pics taken but I will share the fun I did capture.
We arrived Fri night at midnight. The trip went well and the kids were good, so was Flash by-the-way. We left at 4pm, about 15 minutes after Luke got off the bus. Thanks to my brother and sis-in-law for talking to me for a good chunk of the drive! :)
Saturday we hung out with my Momma and Granny. I went to Kohl's (LOVE IT!!) and spent $100 on new Mizzou clothes :) Yes, seriously. I got some sweats but what I really went for was for my kiddos. We live in Oklahoma, the dark side, where you get lam-blasted by ou stuff from all sides---everywhere! My kids so needed to be prepared to combat the evil that is ou. Luke got a Chase Daniel jersey and a t-shirt, Kaden and Gabriel got tees as well. Now we are all set! MIZZOU-RAH!
Speaking of Mizzou-rah...Saturday night a group of family and my best bud from college Becky watched the game together at my Uncle Ricks. With the BIG TV! We had the best time eating pizza with Becks and I screaming at the TV. Michael was able to watch the game on his AFN channel. He called a couple of times celebrating good plays and the W! Good win for my Tigers, not great but good. Way to go boys! It has begun. Watch out NCAA!!!!

Here's the fun cookie my Momma bought for the occasion:

And here is my sweet boy decked out just like Dad would be if he were home:Sorry it's blurry it's from my phone... Doesn't Luke look great?! He is adorable in that shirt and did not want to take it off. It's getting all washed up for tomorrow's game! GO TIGERS! I will cover the rest of my fun trip soon! Thanks to my cousin Sam who watched my kiddos on Saturday night! Love you girl!

One small step for the world

A HUGE STEP FOR THE HARMONS! Josie took 6 unassisted steps yesterday! TWICE as a matter of fact! We were all screaming and Josie looked at us like we were crazy. Progress. She is getting there! I am a very proud Momma. I will take some pics and you will see them soon, video too I am sure!
Keep walking my sweet girl, keep walking!

Some Fun Photos

I GOT A PHONE CALL FROM MY SWEETIE THIS MORNING! We got to talk for all of a minute and a half! (Yes, seriously!) But it was a GLORIOUS 90 seconds! He sounded good, things are busy and going well. God bless our troops!
I don't really have much to report today but I thought I would share some random fun pics from the last few weeks.
Here's Kaden when I picked him up on the first day of school:

Josie's new favorite thing. Playing on the toddler beds, she climbs up there and has a blast!Kaden-man dancing up a storm in the kitchen, check out the tongue! So SILLY!Gabriel was being silly too. What a sweet smile he has!

Another Josie post

I can't help it! I LOVE this girl! I went through my set of girl's clothes to get out some 18 month stuff for Josie. (Thank you again Belva Jean and Sandy for all the baby clothes!) I found some of the most adorable very summer dresses in there. I know that Josie doesn't have long to wear them so she's dressing pretty special these days. On Sunday she wore this too-cute dress with many compliments I might add:Well apparently Josie didn't like the way the dress hindered her crawling ability so she had to remedy that. It's not the best video but you'll get the gist. Besides watching her is just pure joy ;)

And no, she's not walking yet but we are getting close. She has started walking along the walls so she's not just holding onto to edges to walk. She is pushing around laundry baskets and chairs in order to walk. Josie has even made a falling/dive type step from the ottoman to the couch. We are making progress here! Sooner Start (the program that sends people to your house to work with your kiddos and their developmental delays) is going to come out once every 2 weeks to work with Josie. We start on the 3rd of Sept. I will keep you updated on her progress. And you can bet there will be a video of her walking! Go ahead...watch her again, she is just so darn cute!
