Here's the scoop

Alrighty---I need to explain why I haven't been blogging, it certainly isn't because there hasn't been anything going on in our world. Our computer is not able to run the Internet right now, don't ask me to explain further, I have no idea. It is working fine, it just can't handle the modem or something. So we have started using Mike's new laptop. I haven't been able to find the cord-thingy to hook up our camera to the laptop so I can't download any pictures. I really hate to blog with no pics. Especially since I have lots of fun ones to put on. So here is a quick recap of events until I can figure out how to do the whole camera thing.

Kaden's birthday was wonderful, still can't believe he is 4 now. The whole St. Louis fam came over to celebrate with us. There one of my best friends from college, Becks--see her link to the side--threw a surprise pink shower for me! It was awesome. Josie got the most adorable clothes, I am so excited. So thanks to Becks for doing that for me, thanks to Niki for making the drive over from Hermann, thanks to everyone for the gifts! And also, thanks to Aunt Belva for sending cousin Aurora's clothes to Josie and to Sandy for giving us her daughters clothes, we are really blessed and Josie will be one of the best dressed babies out there :)

On the baby front, I am now 33+ weeks. Things are going perfectly. I have started Braxton-Hicks contractions very regularly, they don't hurt, just are uncomfy and you really don't need that in your last 2 months!! My OB said that she will be willing to induce on 39 weeks if everything looks fine because I have big ol' babies and I can get some rest before labor that way. I was thrilled because that means if Josie holds off till then, my Mom, Mike's Mom, my brother and his girlfriend will actually be here for her birth :) Isn't that cool? I'm pumped. So induction might take place April 9th-ish. Yippee!!

And tomorrow night the fun begins---Kaden and Luke start t-ball! How exciting is that? They are playing on the same team (4 and 5 year-olds). They are the Iron Dawgs (you know the bull dog from Tom and Jerry cartoons?--Yeah that's them!) There colors are silver and black so of course Michael went through the roof with excitement. He even ordered a jersey for himself. Cool. I really need to get the camera thing working so that I can put pics up of the boys playing.

Well, that is enough rambling. Pictures to come soon, promise!

Kaden turns the BIG 4--Whoa!!

Can it really be 4 years already? I certainly can't believe it. My kiddos are growing up way too fast for my taste. 4 years ago today I was induced with Kaden. I had a full labor room and full pain. Michael was there of course, my Momma, my sis-in-law Belva Jean, and best friend from high school Kelly. The one person that was missing was an anesthesiologist, I really could have used him. I had Kaden-man o-naturalle and ohmigosh did it HURT like crazy! He was totally worth it mind you but that is some pain I NEVER want to experience again. Kaden came out on the 2nd push, by God's compassion I am sure! He was 8lbs 6 oz. And what a beautiful baby:

Kaden on his happy first birthday, where is his hair?
Birthday number 2, what a great smile:
And here he is at 3 years old with those golden locks:
I will get a 4 year old picture of him up here soon. We are at Grandmom's in St. Louis to celebrate. Kaden is having a party this Saturday with all his cousins, it will be a great time. More photos to come!
Happy Birthday Kaden! Mommy and Daddy love you so very much.

Let the Countdown Begin

Today I am 30 weeks along in pregnancy, that means just 10 to go. WOW. I am so excited. I went to the OB today and baby Josie and I are doing great. She measured perfectly and her heart rate was 148. I go back again in just 2 weeks--I love the end of pregnancy what a fun and exciting time!

And congratulations to the Indianapolis Colts for last night's Superbowl win. Kinda a sloppy game but Peyton played smart and got it done. I am so happy for him and for Tony. And what a guy Coach Dungy is. Here is his wonderful quote when given the trophy: "I'm proud to be the first African-American coach to win this," Dungy said during the trophy ceremony. "But again, more than anything, Lovie Smith and I are not only African-American but also Christian coaches, showing you can do it the Lord's way. We're more proud of that." I have always liked this man, I am SO glad that he got a big-fat W last night!!!!

OKC is shutting down...

for this:
Yep, it snowed for a smidgen yesterday and all churches were closed Wednesday night. Today it spent most of the morning lightly snowing and more and more places are closing. They think tonight the roads will all freeze and that is their reasoning. Looks like the boys and I will be stuck inside for the rest of this week and the weekend. I keep thinking this winter weather hitting us on weekend after weekend keeping us at home is a lesson from God in how to save money and I'm learning! I've learned so well that I am ready for some warmer weather!
