Soccer Saturday X 2

Saturday morning the boys had their second soccer game. They both played at 9AM. Kaden scored a goal!!!! But I missed it. Ugh. Between watching both games and keeping an eye on a roving Gabriel and a sweet baby girl, I missed the goal. Hopefully there will be more for me to see! Luke scored 3 goals, but I only saw one. See same reason above. But I was there and I was cheering. I also took some pics for you guys to see. Daddy here are your boys playing hard.
Chasing the ball:
Kicking the ball:

This is how Luke spent much of the game:Yeah, on the ground. He and a couple of boys on the other team were pretty good at taking each other out. The ref called some high kicking penalties against those boys. Tripping stuff as well. It was kinda funny. Luke just jumped up and kept getting into the middle of it all. He played really well. Uncle Thad would be so proud of him.

Josie and Gabriel sat for quite a while on the Raider blanket having snacks and reading books. They're pretty darn cute!

Sunday thoughts

I would again like to pass something on from our church service this morning. Our pastor was talking about a desperate need for a revival across our country. For us, for Americans, to start having morals again, to start being responsible for our actions, to love thy neighbor, as you well know the list could go on and on. He was reading out of 2 Chronicles 7, where God is talking to Solomon after he built his temple. Verse 14:

"if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
That is a pretty powerful verse as it stands but when you break it down and really examine what it is saying, that is when it becomes staggeringly clear what needs to happen. Notice that God is calling HIS people, He is not waiting around for the 'lost to be found' and then things can happen. No, he is saying if MY people pray then I will heal. Point number 1. Point number 2 is the mighty use of the word "IF". It's not when. God isn't going to force us to act in a certain way, that is not how He works. This 'if' is followed by "THEN". If we do it, He will act. Not He will think about it, not we will have a better shot at help, nope---it's IF and THEN.
Point number 3 (and really my main take away that I wanted to share). Humble yourself and pray. It all starts with me! With you! The prayer needs to start for you, pray for yourself. Admit your sins. Pray for help, for guidance. Heal your own heart. Deal with your own sins. Try and better yourself. Start with you before fixating on all those that you think "need" the help, we all need help. I heard a pastor once say if you are thinking "wow, what the minister just said is great, I really hope fill-in-the-blank heard that message!", if you are thinking that then you are badly missing the point! (Now I realize some specific things do really apply to others and such, but I think you know what I am getting at here). We as Christians are NOT above our wicked ways. We all sin, we all will continue to sin. Let's not accept that and move on to the 'really' bad people. Humble yourself. Prayer starts with us. If we, as Christians, truly want a revival and we want America to be called to God then it starts with us Christians fixing our wickedness and that will spread to all those around us. Pray to God, let Him clean us up, He will hear us and He will help. And then end result, point number 4 (of many more!!!!): HE will heal the land. His forgiveness and mercy will spread over the land but before it spreads it has to start. And it starts with us. It starts with you, it starts with me.
Let's follow God's truth:
IF we, those who believe in GOD, humble ourselves and desperately pray, THEN HE will heal. He will move in our country. I believe that. I believe that we can be better then we are.

Silly-ness!

Last week Kaden was studying the letter S. "S for Samantha" is what I heard all week long! :) Friday was silly sock day. Kaden chose to wear a pair of my green and white striped socks that say HI MOM on the top. Pretty funny! He was so excited to wear them. Doesn't he look proud?!Gabriel has started sneaking the camera when I am not looking. Stink pot! He took a couple of fun close ups I thought I would share with you. He also took about 1000 pics of the floor, the walls, his fingers, the ceiling, etc. And those I figured I wouldn't share!

At Last!

Well I FINALLY posted a video of my Josie walking. It's not a good video mind you, it's from my phone. And also Josie really does walk much better then that. She was walking on the wood chips at the park and it was throwing her off a bit. But you can still see how darn adorable she is toddle-ing around.

Here she is after quite a long day. Passed out at lunch. It's so funny to me that all babies do this!

This is an outfit from her Grandmom. Doesn't she look so cute?! Won't be wearing it much longer, that is for sure!

I love the last picture. Josie looks like she is falling over, when really she was just taking a step. Sweet baby girl! Have I told you guys yet how much I LOVE having a daughter?! :)

Soccer Studs

Yesterday morning was the opening of our soccer game season. My boys are on different teams, Kaden is a Saluki and Luke is a Tiger--that should be easy for me to remember!! They both played at 10 yesterday. It worked out great actually because their fields are right next to each other so I sat on the end, in the middle and had a great view of both. And you really wouldn't know it was a Jesse post if there wasn't WAY TOO MANY pictures for you to love!
Kaden's pre-game chat:
Luke getting his game plan:Yeah, I'll be alternating the boys on purpose, that way you can look at the pics they same way I watched the games. It'll be like you were there! Neat, huh? :)
Kaden running to get that ball:
Luke on his way to score one of his 4 (?) goals (I think anyways, I was watching 2 games....)

This was Kaden's face the entire game, all smiles:Luke ready for a kick:Kaden blocking during a corner kick:Nope, not quite done yet, more pics! Kaden during halftime, he guzzled his water and smiled for a picture for Daddy:Luke's devotional half time:End of the games:Gabriel and Josie were great during the games. They found ways to entertain themselves, Gabes ran up and down a hill and played in Jo's stroller. Josie was happy trying to eat my keys. She was all Mizzou-rah-ed out, as were we all at some point yesterday, and everyone kept calling her a boy...

But she's not. She is my sweet angel girl. My sweet angel that is walking up a storm and now can stand up on her own, without pulling up on anything! I'm so proud of you Josie! So proud of my soccer studs too!

Play park time

On Monday night while Kaden and Luke were at soccer practice, I walked Josie and Gabriel over to the park at our church. They had the best time. Josie loved climbing up and down off the slide. She was giggling. It was too adorable! Thought I would share some of the pics. The first one being the most gorgeous blue sky:

And this last photo I LOVE! Gabriel was running in this open field for all his was worth, laughing the whole time. So cute! I love my babies!

Dreams Alike

I have a couple of fun pics to share. Back in August Luke and Kaden started this thing where they wanted to sleep together. Well, I always said no and put them in their own beds. I know, what a mean Mom! When I would come in and check on them before I went to bed (as I do every night!) I would indeed find them together. My first attempt at a pic:
Then with the flash and there they are:
So last night after watching my NetFlix I went in to check on Gabes and Josie Claire. Well Gabriel wasn't in his bed. Now, as some of you know, he sometimes escapes from his room and I find him on the love seat or the floor in the living room. Not last night. He had joined my Josie. My first try to capture it:
You think I would have learned right? Flash time:
I debated leaving them together but his feet are pretty close to her face and he wakes up earlier then Josie and I didn't want that so I moved Gabriel. Goofy kids!

FULL Saturday

I think we fit about a week's worth of stuff into our Saturday. In the morning we got up and I gave everyone a bath. That is enough for one day alone---let me tell you! We headed off to the barbershop for boy haircuts. Luke and Kaden did a great job, Gabriel had a rougher time but he made you more sad then frustrated. He just was not a happy guy. They all got GREAT haircuts, thank you ladies! You know I like my boys to have hair left and they do :) We then headed to the BX for a couple of quick things. We ended spending a good 45 minutes because they had games/prizes for the kids, popcorn, face painting (we didn't do that), and cotton candy---we didn't do that either because my Mom would have killed me for giving that to her babies! The kids had such a great time. And it was Saturday so they were all decked out in their MIZZOU-RAH clothes. They looked AWESOME! We came home for lunch and started watching the Mizzou game, yeah the one where they crushed Nevada by scoring 69 points! Sweet! We didn't watch the whole game because it was Give Parents a Break afternoon! The Air Force has this amazing program with free childcare once a month for families who's spouses are deployed! It is amazing and I am SO grateful for all of those involved! I spent 5 hours without my kiddos on Sat afternoon. I went shopping, it was awesome and I had a great time, just look at my check book :) (Yes, Michael already knows!!) I picked up the kiddos, they had McD's for dinner and all was right in the world at our house! What a great day we had.

I took lots of pictures at the BX with my phone so I know the quality isn't that good but you'll be able to tell how much fun they had, how great their hair looks, and you'll see their school spirit!!! Go TIGERS!

Fishing:
Bean bag toss:

Gabriel couldn't get the bag through so he kept inching closer. It was hilarious! He finally did it though!Darts. Yeah, that's what I thought too. At first I thought the lady just meant for Luke to do it, but then she handed them out to Kaden and Gabriel too. I was a tad nervous. Didn't know where those suckers would end up!Now I know I took (and posted) a lot of pictures but I know their Daddy, Grandmas, Aunts, and Heidi will appreciate each and every one of them!!! :)

Another one bites the dust

Remember back when I told you that Luke had get yet another tooth pulled? It had died and needed to come out. Well, we went last week and Luke did a GREAT job! He was not happy about having it done, but he made it and was thrilled with the $2 the tooth fairy left him! We go back late in the month to put a spacer in so his adult tooth with have room to grow. That should be no biggee, I guess it takes like 2 seconds to do. Good thing. We have spent way too much time at the dentist this year I think!!! So here is the dead tooth. Isn't that disgusting?!
The whole in his mouth!
Gabe's turn at the dentist back in August, he wanted me to take his pic! Fits well in this post.
