5 Horses, 1 dog, & 2007 years

We are still snowed in Ft Collins. The storm this time around wasn't nearly as bad but for some reason they are having a hard time getting the interstates clean. I-70 is closed from Denver to the middle of Kansas...that's right where we need to go, oh yeah and both the LONG routes to the north (thru Nebraska) and south (thru New Mexico) are closed as well. We are hoping the crews will have it fixed so that we can be on our way tomorrow. We shall see...

Yesterday we decided to take the kiddos to see the BUDWEISER CLYDESDALES here at the Ft Collins brewery (we can travel around Ft Collins with no problem). The boys had a GREAT time. There were 5 clydesdales and 1 dalamation, he was SO adorable. The boys really enjoyed getting out of the house for a little bit.

Here's the fam in front of a Budweiser wagon (yeah prego was burning up in there, and yes Momma I had my jacket it was just on the floor)

Luke and Kaden LOVED talking to the puppy. Bless his heart he wanted to be pet so badly we just couldn't get to him. How cute are his ears??

AND get this---one of the horses was named Darth (for those of you who don't know, that is Mike's call sign) So here is Darth with Darth. Too Funny.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And a Happy New Year to everyone. I pray the new year is filled with blessings for all of you. If you are one who makes resolutions, good luck with those!! A new year is a new beginning, may God bless us all.
Christmas in Colorado
Merry Christmas to you all! Hope your day was wonderful. We have had a most wonderful time here in Colorado with Mike's Mom and Grandma. We have had a white, white, WHITE Christmas. As I type this it's getting whiter, so much so that we might not be able to go home when we thought (Sat), we might very well be snowed in!!
Here are some pics of the kiddos at Christmas enjoying the many, many presents they received!
Thanks to everyone who sent cards and presents, we certainly love hearing from you.
Some updates here: ~~~ We are basically healthy now, Mike has got the beginnings of a cold, hopefully it will get better quickly! ~~~ Our house is still filled with boxes. We moved in 5 days before we left for Colorado. We have lots of work ahead of us when we get home. I will post some pics when we get home. ~~~ I am now 24 weeks pregnant and things are going perfectly, I have finally stopped puking, so that is good :) I am going to have an ultrasound sometime in January so those of you waiting to hear whether we have a girl or boy, know there is an end in sight!
Mizzou plays Oregon State tomorrow in the Sun Bowl. Let's go Tigers, let's go!!!
A little health please...
Oh yeah, the illness devil has landed on the Harmons once again. (but I should report first that we are now on the mend and things are getting better around here) Luke got a cold on Wednesday that brought on a pretty good fever. He was feeling miserable bless his heart. I got a headache on Tuesday, Wednesday morning a severe cold, and by Wed afternoon I had a fever as well. At 1:30AM (Thurs) my fever was up to 101.6, and my OB's rule of thumb is get checked out if a fever is over 101. So, Mom and I spent 5 hours at the ER on Thursday. (Thanks to Aunt LeeAnn for coming over to stay with my boys while we were gone :)---you're a life saver) Turns out I have the flu, but not the nasty bad flu, just a regular one, and a bacterial infection in my throat. Great huh? But like I said we are getting much better, my antibiotic has already helped SO much. Luke was getting back to normal today and didn't run a fever at all (thank you God for that) And most importantly the baby is doing fine, her/his heartrate was 160 and the ER doc said everything looks perfect with baby!
Mike and Kelly are driving to St. Louis as I write this. We are all so excited to see Daddy again. The carpet and wood laminate were laid in our house today and Mike says it looks awesome. We will be going to OKC on Sunday, the movers still coming on Monday the 18th. I am thrilled to get to my new beautiful house! I will post pictures of the house as soon as our computer is up and running!
Here's to all of you, hope you have happy, safe, and HEALTHY Holidays!!!!
First coat
Ta-da!!!! Thought I would share some of the hard work Mike and Kelly did in our new house this weekend.
Here is a photo of the first coat in Gabriel's and baby's new room. It is called Sonic Boom, a very bright and fun green-green-green! They both are thrilled with the results. I'm excited to see it.
Luke and Kaden's room is basically a sky blue, it's called 100 Acre Day.
I just wanted to thank both Mike and Kelly for the hard work they have done in the kiddos rooms.
Can't wait to see you guys on Friday!!! Love you!!!
Homeowners once again!!
After a long and somewhat stressful process with MANY ups and downs, Mike and I are homeowners again!! :) Don't worry I won't go into any details, just know I am so thankful that Michael was able to take care of everything and he should know he did a great job! I love ya sweetie. He signed the papers yesterday and it's all official now. The carpet guys are coming on the 14th and 15th, I will be returning to OKC on the 17th, and our movers will be setting us up on Monday the 18th! I am so excited I can hardly stand it. It's been a long time coming. So now I am proud to say that I OWN a garage, a laundry room, and a DISHWASHER!!! (3 years without one was a very, very, very long time)
Michael is planning to paint the boys rooms this weekend before the new carpet gets installed. We are pretty excited. One Superhero room for the 2 oldest and a Disney room for Gabriel and baby #4. Good luck babe! Eventually we will put pictures up of the house.
So there's the Harmon update. All good things :)
Happy Holidays everyone!
Get Well Greg!
We just learned that Greg Wiggle, the yellow one for those of you without little kiddos, had to 'retire'. At 34 he has a serious heart condition that effects his ability to stand and his coordination. Luke was really upset when he learned about this. A new Wiggle Sam will take his place and Luke's only comfort was knowing that the old Wiggles will still have Greg on them. Probably lots of parents are annoyed by the Wiggles but my boys adore them and we have spent countless hours singing and dancing with them. Bless your heart Greg and we hope you continue to feel better and better.
Snowed in
The winter storm has made it's way successfully through the Midwest. Michael, in Oklahoma City, was snowed in yesterday and today it is us here in St. Louis. All day yesterday we had freezing rain and sleet until the morning hours when the snow started. All the schools are closed here and no one is going out. Though my poor Mom had to go to work today, ugh! The boys and I are held up inside watching The Polar Express.
It's December 1st already and I can hardly believe that. The first half of the year went SO slow for me with Michael gone, and yet the second half flew by! The boys started their chocolate advent calenders today. Thank you Ms. Heidi for sending them authentic German ones, they are already a huge hit!
And here's a thank you to Michael and Kelly for the effort. Tomorrow is my 29th Happy Birthday and they were going to drive here from OKC to spend the weekend with us. Obviously the weather put a nix on that, but it is the thought that counts and I do appreciate the thought so very much. I love you both!
Home sweet home!
We found a house! A great house if I do say so myself. Michael and I are thrilled. We were certainly blessed. We found the house the first day of looking, had an offer in the next day, the contract was signed by all on the 3rd day! Now I am not computer savvy enough to figure out how to do the cool links thing on the blog so here is a website that features our house if you would like to see it:
http://www.openhouseok.com/wc.wwt?ohok~showhome~&city=oklahoma+city&address=8301+Jason+Dr&st=ok
We have the closing date for Dec 8th but hopefully we will get in there earlier. The kiddos and I will stay in St Louis with Grandmom until the day we move into the new house. Mike has to go back to work next week.
2 more updates: I am now 19 weeks along, baby is 8 1/2 ounces and 6 inches long now. Very exciting. I am feeling baby's movements all day long now and it's just the best feeling in the whole world! Brittyne--if you are reading this stop now---I am still puking and wish that part would get over with BUT it's allowing me to hold onto the hope she is a girl and that is why I am still sick at the halfway point. When we get settled in OKC I will go in for my ultrasound, I know there are many wondering the sex of Baby #4--me included, and my sister-in-law is going crazy waiting to hear, she has given me a Christmas deadline, not sure exactly what will happen if I don't meet that, not sure I want to find out. :)
And: Mike and I are going to the Mizzou-ku game on Saturday! I am so excited. I hope that we have a better outing then we did against Iowa State. Let's go Tigers, let's go! This game has bowl implications--I am pumped. Mizzou-rah!!!
All Tuckered Out!!!
Today was another LONG day and this picture really sums it up:
(Isn't he beautiful?)
The movers arrived again at 11:30 and stayed until about 5. They are still not done packing everything, which is why I still have my computer to blog on. The guys are supposed to be back tomorrow morning at 8 or 8:30 to finish packing the boxes so the truck can get loaded. We shall see how it goes.
The kids are handling it all better then Mike and I, we are fairly grumpy and they are taking everything in stride. Neither Kaden nor Gabriel napped today, but obviously Gabriel did fall asleep late this afternoon in his Daddy's arms. We are all tired that is for sure!
One more day is what I keep telling myself. Thanks to Mom, Lisa, and Heidi who called today to check on me. We are hanging in there and now it's only one more day!
Happy Halloween and happy moving?
We had a fun, fun time last night. The boys had a blast and we have WAY TOO MUCH candy around this house. We left our candy on the porch so we could all go out trick-or-treating together and hardly any was gone when we got back over an hour later! Not a good thing for a pregnant lady to be surrounded by mounds of chocolate---I can tell you that!
We didn't get many pictures, just one in fact. Luke and Kaden didn't want to slow down for any and when we got home I was outside talking to a neighbor and they both undressed before I came in. Sorry Grandmas! But here is a picture of Gabriel and his scary face:
He was the Cardinal Bench Coach, why? Cause that is such a cool title, "Hi, what do you do?" "I'm the bench coach." See, cool!
Our movers came today, they called at 8 to say they would be there in an hour to an hour and a half. Okay 9:30, not too bad. They showed up at 11:30. AND then they left at 2:45. So, needless-to-say it will be a LONG day of packing tomorrow. Most of the kitchen is done, the boys room is done, and half of the other 2 bedrooms are done. They said they would be here tomorrow at 9 or maybe 9:30, we shall see. They were very nice guys so that counts for something, right?
Here's a thank you to my friend Yadira for allowing Kaden and Gabriel to go nap at her house today. (though Gabriel didn't actually sleep a wink...should make for an interesting evening). Thanks to Heidi for calling to see how I was doing, thanks to Jason and Lisa for stopping by to see me, and to Lisa for staying with me and helping out! Thanks to Momma for listening!
Mike had to be at work at 3:15 this morning and it's now 5PM and I haven't heard when he is coming home yet. What a crazy time for him to be so swamped at work. Hopefully it will be better for him tomorrow. Please say a prayer for a restful and rejuvenating sleep---for all of us!!
Carving the night away
The before shot:
Yesterday we finally got around to carving our pumpkin. I carved and Luke and I cleaned the pumpkin. Kaden did not want anything to do with it. Gabriel looked inside but that was it.
Luke and Gabriel inspecting the inside:
Luke started cleaning:
Aunt LeeAnn I think we got an Italian pumpkin, check it out, there is spaghetti on the inside:
The finished jack-o-lantern:
Should be a fun night tonight. Hopefully I will get to blog again soon seeing that our movers come tomorrow! Yah, I am stressing a little bit. I feel like I have to do so much and nothing is done. Doesn't help that Mike has an insane week. He was almost 2 hours later then he thought he would be yesterday. Yikes, I certainly hope we don't forget to set something aside that we might need. I will be glad when Friday comes and the movers are gone and we are relaxing with family!
Halloween Round #1
On Friday afternoon we had a Halloween party at Michael's work. What an interesting day that was. Mike was able to come home a little early to help me get the kiddos ready. That was a chore in and of itself, Superman Luke was dressed first and desperately trying to run out of the house. Kaden however did not want a costume on and fought us hard. But through his tears he turned into Dash (from the Incredibles). It was an insane downpour as we drove to the squadron, Kaden did not enjoy that either, thunder and lightning everywhere. We ran the kids inside but the parking lot is forever away from the building so even with jackets and umbrellas, we were all drenched! But do you think that could stop Halloween fun? We were there all of 10 minutes before we headed to the center of the building for a tornado warning. Oh yeah, over 25 minutes in a hallway with lots of kiddos wanting candy---such fun! Actually all the kids did really well waiting. Here's a photo of us waiting out the tornado and water spout scares:
And here are my boys who found the drinking fountain a fun thing to play with, and look at apparently: And no, Kaden did not have to go to the bathroom, he was just posing I guess:
Then the trick-or-treating started. Kaden was scared of half the rooms, because, well, they were scary. Luke went in everywhere and got the most candy by far: Blurry but cute none-the-less:
Kaden-man was a BIG hit at the cupcake walk. He was dancing around as they played Laurie Berkner songs. (and for those of you that know her, that is Elyssa, Jason and Lisa's daughter)
We did have a fun, fun time. The boys are looking forward to Halloween night when they get to go to houses for candy.
2006 World Champions!!!!
The St. Louis Cardinals are the Champions!!!!!!
How good does it feel to say that? Cardinal Nation believed! The game was so exciting last night. We won, we won, we won! Let's enjoy the celebration! :) Weaver, you were unbelievable and David you were certainly the MVP!!!!!
It was a very exciting game. I was stressed in the 9th, not because I didn't have faith but because 2 runs is still a close game and I wanted desperately to win in St. Louis for the players, for the fans, for Uncle Don and Aunt Deb--who were there!!!!! When we won game 3, I about bit my thumb off during the 9th inning. And last night I folded my arms and was squeezing them so tight look what happened to me: Who says fans don't suffer?!
Gotcha! I am totally kidding. That is my lovely bruise from getting 8 vials of blood drawn on Tuesday, see the needle prick? It is now starting to look better. Ha, trying to be funny.
Way to go Cardinals! I am so excited! It's nice to be World Champions! 24 years was a long time to wait. :)
Dancing with the Cards
I am not the only excited Cardinal fan out there. When Preston Wilson made his amazing catch last night I felt my baby move for the first time. Such an amazing feeling!! Obviously, it's never too early to be a baseball fan!!!!
Who said being the underdog is a bad thing?! Not St. Louis fans, that's for sure! The Cardinals won again last night and are now leading 3 games to 1. What a fun game tonight!!!! Way to go Eckstein, he certainly was the player of the game! Go Cardinals!!! One more game!
On Wednesday night when the Cards game was rained out, Mike was flipping channels and I asked him to stop on Dancing with the Stars. I have never seen it but my Mom told me that Emmitt Smith is amazing! And just our luck he was dancing first, doing the Mambo. Didn't take too long until Kaden and Luke joined in. I cannot tell you how hilarious it was and the pictures do not do it justice. We were cracking up! Thaddeus you would have cried watching them try to 'shake it' like Emmitt. (notice he is in the background on the TV--this was not a recreation of the event)
After baths that night, I decided Kaden needed a haircut, I did cut a lot off, it was getting so long--especially in the back. So here's the pic I took of him this morning, don't worry Grandmom the boy still has LOTS of hair.
We have out Halloween party at Mike's work this afternoon, the boys are very excited as you can imagine. There will be pictures.
More on the baby front: I am now 15 weeks, I had my doc appointment on Tues and all looks great. The baby's heartbeat was in the upper 140's, same as Kaden and Gabriels, Luke's was always in the 160's. Don't worry, I haven't conceded anything yet!!! I will be seen once again before we leave here. And baby you can move anytime, Momma loves to feel you.
And That's a Winner
The Cards are now leading the Series 2-1. What a masterful performance by Carpenter! An amazing game. Our bats are coming around, watch---this is going to be great!
Go Redbirds!!!
Thanks for the winner Uncle Don! :)
Fall Festival and the Fall Classic
Oh. My. Goodness! The Cards win game one! The Cards win game one! I knew it, I called it, we had the advantage in my eyes! Way to go Redbirds! 1-0, we're 1-0!!!!! :) Yeah, Cardinals!
What an exciting game last night, I did miss most of it. Went out for a goodbye dinner with some friends. I did get to see the end. I am still SO excited!
Yesterday was a Fall Festival at Luke's school. We had a great time. They had 6 different HUGE (and I mean that) inflatables for the kiddos to play on. You know they loved that! Here's Luke and Kaden on a couple:
Gabriel was such a sweetie the whole time. He was too little to play on the inflatables but he did get to run around a bit. Here he is making silly faces at his Momma (note the outfit):
They had little carnival games for the kiddos too. This is Luke and Kaden at the dinosaur dig--yeah, Grandmom, that's playdoh they are digging in:
Searching in the haystack for prizes:
Kaden at the penny toss, getting help from Daddy:
The kids had a blast and slept pretty good last night you can imagine. Fun times.
On a separate note, the moving countdown has begun. The movers are coming tomorrow to take inventory of what we have. They will be here Nov 1st-3rd. We will be heading to St. Louis, home of the world famous underdog World Series leading Cardinals, on Nov 9th. WOW! Just 17 more days here in Florida.
And just a mere 175 days until baby 4's due date! :) I am still getting sick, though not quite as often but the nausea is there for parts of everyday. I started my second trimester so hopefully I will be feeling much better soon. I go to the doc again on Tues, I will update you guys then!!
Friday, October 20, 2006
We WON!!!!!!!!
Celebrate, celebrate!!!! Yeah Cardinals! We did it! We won and what a game 7!!!!! Suppan pitched an amazing game, totally the MVP of the series! And what an ending!!! Way to go Yadier. Guess being the EXTREME underdog isn't too bad for the Cards! So much for us not getting through the series with San Diego!!! Way to go Cardinals!
Ghosts and my pumpkin
Yesterday Luke and I did some Halloween decorating. I bought the cutest little plastic ghosts and pumpkins at Target. (you fill them with scraps of paper and use twist ties to close them) Luke was a big help and we had lots of fun. We went outside and put them on our bushes in front of the house and big tree in the side yard. They look pretty cool if I do say so myself. It was a fun project to do with the kiddos, Kaden wouldn't sit long enough to help (surprise, surprise) but Luke had a great time. Easy, cheap, cute, and fun to do, yeah Target!!!!!
Luke hanging up a ghost.
And Jackie, this next photo is for you!! This is the outfit that you and Thaddeus sent Gabriel when he was born. It's 6-12 months, but my little guy can still fit into it at 21 months. This picture is so adorable I can just hear your squeal of how cute he looks. And no, you still can't have him. But come and visit whenever you want, we would LOVE to have you guys!! :)
Mommy's punkin.
Cousin time!
Aunt Belva and the kids came over to spend the weekend with us. We had a great time, the kiddos LOVE playing together.
While they were sitting together for dinner, I went in for the picture. I had them all say cheese and it turned out pretty cute, huh?
Then Belva, Mike, and I were serenated with "cheeeeese"s for the next 20 mintues. Each kiddo trying to say it longer and louder then the next. They were all laughing, it was adorable, so I took another picture:
Gabriel and Kaden were cracking up! It was SO funny.
We do make some pretty, pretty babies in this family :) Thanks Aunt Belva for the visit!!
And GO Cardinals--today is a big game for the boys.
Let's go Cardinals, let's go.
Baseball is in our blood
I promise, promise, promise this picture was NOT set up. Last night I put Luke and Kaden to bed but let Gabriel stay up a little longer (because the commercial break was over and I didn't want to miss any of the Cards game). Gabriel ran over to the toys and got a bat and ball. He was so proud of himself, he showed off to Daddy. I got this cute picture as he was running all over the living room laughing. Way to cute, and I know that you are proud Uncle Thaddeus.
Luke looks good:
Check these out! They're the proofs for Luke's school picture. Isn't that a great photo? I am a proud Mom right now.
I know you Grandma's are LOVING this picture!!!! Let me know what you think!
What a good looking kid, if I do say so myself!
Sportacular!!!!!!
We are quite the happy sports family right now! (and yes, we are assuming the Raiders are not in existence this year...)
My Tigers, Mizzou is 6-0!!! Awesome! And now people are even saying they are good! Way to go boys! Mizzou-Rah!!!!! We are ranked 19th and 21st right now! Sweet.
And let's celebrate the Cardinals win last night! Oh yeah, that's right. NLCS here we come. Watch out Mets. Maybe the Cards being the underdog is a good thing. Go Redbirds!
And for Michael, let's cheer the A's dismantling of the Twins. Everyone wrote them off but the A's sure showed them (with Thomas the REAL comeback player of the year and their great pitching!)
