Two stitches in time...

Today started off very well. We got to bible study at the base chapel on time (a big deal for me). The boys had no problem going into the nursery and were all very excited to be there, the fact that it has a slide doesn't hurt! My bible study was amazing, I am learning so much, what a wonderful study we are doing! Then it's time to go home and it happened: Kaden vs. hallway wall, yeah think back to Gabriel vs. fireplace. Kaden ran into the chair rail in the hallway on our way out. Instantly he started bleeding pretty good and I just knew it was a trip to the ER for us. I put a bandage on his head and wrapped him up with gauze wrap, made the poor boy look as if he was from a MASH unit. The cut wasn't very long but it was deeper and I figured he needed some closure. I called Michael and he wasn't able to leave work to come to the hospital with us. So off we go. We actually didn't even have to wait if you can believe that---no seriously. They tried at first to glue his poor head together, but that wasn't going to hold, so onto stitches we went. Don't have the docs try both, the glue inside the cut made it hard to numb the area and poor Kaden had to get like 7 or 8 shots in his head and all of us who have had stitches know that is the part that hurts so much! They wrapped him up in sheets and it took 3 of us to hold him, he was not really thrashing around just pretty scared. Bless his heart he kept saying "Please stop, you're hurting me. Please stop." It was heart-wrenching. But she got it all cleaned out and put in 2 stitches, all done in about 10 minutes. Kaden was fine as soon as it was over and his been fine ever since, the boy thankfully gets over things really quickly! See:
We went through McDonald's on the way home for lunch, bonus points for Mommy for that idea! Here is a close up, not a great picture but you get the point:It's not that bad and his hair covers it completely so you would never know. He'll get them out in 5 days. So Gabriel had glue, Kaden had stitches, Luke??? Let's hope he doesn't have to experience anything!!! We love you Kaden-man.

As Promised!

Pictures are here!! This is our bedroom and the living room. Michael and I got a lot of work done, things are in their place and it looks good if I do say so myself.

The master bedroom, complete with our new bedspread and curtains. Looks good I think. You can't really tell how big our bedroom is, but trust me it's huge.

Here is the other side of the room, my dresser and the bathroom door.

This is the living room. The size of this room pretty much dwarfs our entertainment center, but that's okay. Also there seems to be a lot of extra room because the love seat (which would be in that big open space) is in the family room with the mondo-TV until we get another couch.

The Rrrr-raider Room

Well the Raider/computer/guest bedroom room I guess it how it should read. People have been asking for pictures of the house and this one I feel comfortable showing, it is basically done. The living room and our bedroom should be next on the list. I have a good feeling we will get a lot accomplished this weekend. (we better Mike leaves Wednesday for 3 weeks)

There they are, almost all of Mike's Raider Starting Line Up figures. He still doesn't have the full collection but is only short 4 or 5 I believe. Note the valance made by Mike's Mom, yeah we've got Raider curtains even---cool.

Here's most of the signed stuff, a few Starting Line Ups, and his 3 Danbury Mint pieces.

Raider banners, pictures, and what's that? It's Darth's lightsaber courtesy of his brothers' family for Christmas 2005. The awesome shield was a Christmas present made for Michael by my Uncle Don. Isn't it the best? Michael LOVES it. (we are awaiting the correct hardware to get it on the wall but that is it's place of honor)

That's not everything, he has SO much stuff, but obviously you get the drift. Hopefully more house photos soon. And let's everyone hope the Raiders have a better season next year, of course it would be hard not to. Come on #1 draft pick. Can you believe their new coach graduated high school the same year as my brother??? (1994) Wow.

Happy EARLY Birthday Michael!

Darn you Best Buy! They had sale and mix that with 3 years interest free and just look what happens:
Yeah, Mike finally got his 'big' TV. It's HUUUUUUUUUUUGE as far as I am concerned. It's in the family room and I can watch it from living room, seriously, I kid you not! I know there are bigger sets out there (uh, James and Uncle Rick) but for me it's just huge. Wow. Though Star Wars did look pretty good on it. The TV was delivered yesterday. Mike and I spent about an hour putting together the lovely stand he chose. DirecTV comes today to get it all hooked up for us so we didn't get to use it yesterday for the football games. That would've been cool. We will have it for the Superbowl though...but ironically, Michael won't be here, he will be gallivanting around Las Vegas again, I guess I will have to watch Peyton all by myself, unless Kelly you want to come and watch with me, you are of course more then welcome! Look at the picture again, (it's huge!) doesn't Michael look proud?! Oh yeah, and I was serious about this being for his 30th birthday even though that is not until May. Happy (early) Birthday my Darling! I love you!

Diggin' In

Alrighty, it's cupcake time. Well for my boys that means icing time. They don't really eat the cake part, are they crazy?! Yeah, I know I know, it's a lot of photos for one cupcake, but come on, these are adorable and so I decided I had to share them all! If you look from picture to picture fast enough, you can actually watch Gabriel dive into his food! Awesome! We had a great day yesterday. No more babies in the household, just 2 toddlers and a child. Wow. Come on April, I am ready for another newborn! We are watching football, doesn't look as if New Orleans will pull this one out, but what a great season they had. And LET'S GO COLTS!!!! I love Peyton and Tony! Go Colts! Back to the birthday, here's the photos of my angel, Daddy with the candle:

The boys enjoying their icing:

My Angel Gabriel

Happy 2nd Birthday!!!!!!!!!
My sweet Gabriel turns 2 today. I went into labor on the way to the hospital for his induction, he was almost a week late but he was definitely worth the wait! Michael, Mom, and Mom-in-law were in the delivery room with us. I actually got an epidural and it worked, I was in heaven, having Gabriel was easy! He has always been such a beautiful baby and lives up to his angel name. We LOVE you Gabriel Todd.
A few minutes old:

First birthday:

This morning joined by his big brothers:

A huge smile for his Momma:

I'm gonna take this one!!!

Grandmom's present is a hit!

New dinosaurs from Grandma and Great Grandma Short and check out my haircut from Thursday:

A new Cars racetrack, cool:

"Oooohhh"

More pictures to come later when we have his cupcakes. We ended up cancelling his party because of our bad weather but I am so thankful because we can celebrate as a complete family, Mike missed Gabriel's first birthday, so it makes today doubly sweet!!!

27 weeks and a trip

Another ultrasound shot of Josie, this time you can see she's bent completely in half, there is a good outline of her whole leg, and yep, those are her toes on the top of her head. So cute! I had my OB appointment yesterday during this wonderful, wonderful weather. A drive that takes me about 10 minutes took me over 45, by hey I got there and home safely so that is good, right?! I saw the Nurse Practioner who remembered me from when I was pregnant with Kaden. We celebrated that Josie was a girl, I showed her all the ultrasound photos and she agreed hands down Josie is, in fact, a girl :) Yippee! All looks well, my blood pressure was fine and I am measuring right on schedule, just 13 weeks to go. (thanks to Kelly for watching the boys)
I got the okay to come and visit you guys in St. Louis at the beginning of Feb, so I am happy about that. Mike leaves from Jan 31 to Feb 17 so I decided why stay here alone. (thanks Heidi for the prompting :) I hope my Mom can handle another visit from us all, what do you guys think? We'll be there for Kaden's 4th birthday, so that will be great to share with the whole fam, except Daddy will be missed!!!
Again on the weather front is another winter storm, sleet and snow all Friday and Saturday---yeah, that is exactly what we need. I invited some friends over for Gabriel's Happy Birthday on Saturday and now we might have to cancel. Bummer drag. We shall see what they say tomorrow.
Yes, yes, you read that right: Gabriel will be 2 on Saturday, I can hardly believe it and I am actually having a hard time dealing with it. My baby won't be a baby anymore. Good thing there is another one coming!!!

Ice Storm 2007

Our lovely house in the ice.
It IS ice though it looks like snow. Notice there are no footprints
down the walkway, trust me, I would leave footprints in snow.

For those of you not in Oklahoma, that is what the news stations are calling our crazy weather last weekend, Ice Storm 2007. Pretty fun. It all started on Friday morning, with freezing rain. Michael only had a half day and slipped and slid all the way home. Needless-to-say, we didn't go anywhere this weekend, (good thing because there was a lot of good football games on, that's how the playoffs should be!) We did actually get some work done in the house though, so that's good. Michael put up almost all of his Raiders stuff and the Disney lithographs were hung. A lot of thanks to whomever invented the lazer-line-leveler thingy, what a nice helper! I will put pictures of those rooms up when we get the border done in Gabriel/Josie's room, I think it's going to be half Disney Princess and half Buzz Buzz Lightyear. I am SO ready for a little pink in my life :)

Having fun last night

Last night Daddy and I set up the boys GeoTrax trains. Though engineers we are not, I think it turned out pretty cool. They are sure loving these trains.
The plan is to leave this up in the Gabriel/Josie/play room. GeoTrax keeps them entertained for hours :)
Fun times here at the Harmon household.

Painted Rooms

Alrighty, so here are the only pictures I am willing to show of the house right now. It's really SLOW going for this pregnant one. Some days I am so exhausted I can hardly get off the couch. Then there are days like today where I completely redid the kitchen and put things in their 'better' place. I know some people were curious about the kiddos rooms so here they are:

Eventually Luke and Kaden's room will be decked out with superhero decorations:

Gabriel and Josie's room will be our Disney room. We have about 50 Disney lithographs to put up in there. I will put new pictures up when that gets done. It's not really this neon green, it's bright green, don't get me wrong, but not really as 80's-neon as this picture makes it seem.

Thank you again to Michael and Kelly for painting the rooms. They do look amazing!

As I get more of the house to it's finished state I will post more pics. I do LOVE my house.

HERE'S JOSIE:

Here are some ultrasound photos of Josie Claire. I decided not to put ALL of them on here, but if more are requested...well, what can I do? Enjoy!

Here is Josie looking almost directly at you, you can see that mouth of hers :) How sweet. Her arm is next to her head.

This is how Josie spent most of the ultrasound, with her toes on top of her head, completely bent in half. Isn't that amazing?
Here she has her fist at her head and you can see her profile.
And TA-DA : here is the money shot! Mike didn't want me to post this one but I think everyone needed to see the 100% no doubt view. This way Grandmom can rejoice for sure :)
Doesn't that look like a big foot? No wonder I feel that thing kicking me!!!

Our Baby News:

She's a GIRL, she's a Girl, the baby is a GIRL!!!!!!!!!
I am sure all of you looking at this also got an e-mail from me, but I wanted to share the news again just in case. We had an ultrasound done on Wednesday night (thanks to nurse Barbara who was willing to come in at 7 so that Mike could be there to see our baby). First and foremost, she is perfect. Everything measured at exactly the 'right' lengths, and all the organs are working like they should. Thank you God for another beautiful perfect baby.
I am so sorry but I can't get the scanner to work and Mike won't be home until midnight or something so I can't share her pictures with you. But I will as soon as possible, and yes, there will be LOTS of them!
Thanks to Kelly for going to the ultrasound with us for support, and thanks for helping Mike watch the kiddos while we looked at baby.
And thanks to everyone for thinking pink and to Kelsey for always 'knowing' that she was a girl, from the very beginning you believed, thanks for that! :) Can't wait to share her pictures with you.
And our daughters' name is: Josie Claire
